He wrote on August 27, 2025: "The economic and national security threat posed by drones produced by our adversaries is grave. We need to remove burdensome regulations and empower our American companies to conduct domestic research, testing, manufacturing, and deployment."

Later that morning, Senator Young participated in the 2025 Indiana Housing Conference in Indianapolis. In his remarks shared online at 15:56 UTC on August 27, he stated: "Joined the 2025 Indiana Housing Conference in Indy this morning to discuss my provisions in the One Big Beautiful Bill that leverage private sector investment to increase the stock of affordable housing in both urban and rural communities. This part of the law will help Hoosier".
