Rep. Victoria Spartz nominates 20 Indiana students for military academies

Rep. Victoria Spartz of Indiana's Fifth District has announced the nomination of twenty high school seniors to attend the United States Military Academies. These academies provide young individuals with an opportunity to serve their country while receiving a comprehensive education and full scholarships.

"It is a true honor to nominate these outstanding students," stated Rep. Spartz. "This year’s applicants represent the best and brightest of our district, and I have no doubt they will excel in their academic and military careers."

The nominees for the US Air Force Academy include Norah Brandenburg from Hamilton Southeastern High School, Cameron Echard from Westfield High School, Daniel Liu from Park Tudor School, Alex Munn from Westfield High School, Robert Shaw from Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School, Warner Sims from Pendleton Heights High School, Jonathan Tangara from Fishers High School, and Andrew Wolfe who is homeschooled through Metamora Township High School.

Nominees for the US Naval Academy are Norah Brandenburg, Cameron Echard, Daniel Liu, Alex Munn, Jackson Nevil attending The Citadel, Robert Shaw, Braeden Strothkamp also from Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School, Jonathan Tangara, and Andrew Wolfe.

Cameron Echard has also been nominated for the US Military Academy at West Point alongside Evan Lawhead from Hamilton Southeastern High School, Anna Mauch from Theodore Guerin High School, Robert Shaw again appearing on this list as well as Jonathan Tangara.

For the US Merchant Marine Academy nominations went to Brennan Baker of Hamilton Southeastern High School alongside Cameron Echard and Robert Shaw.

Rep. Spartz added her confidence in these students by stating: "These students are not only talented and driven but also embody the values of leadership and service that our nation holds dear. I am confident that each one will contribute greatly to the future of our armed forces."
