Rep. Spartz recently completed a nine-day trip with the House Democracy Partnership Commission, visiting regions in the Indo-Pacific, Middle East, and Europe. She emphasized the importance of U.S. leadership during global instability.
"The leadership of the United States is critical in these challenging times of instability around the world," she stated. Spartz urged Congress to take on a more active role as a policymaker and as a check on executive power, citing its constitutional powers over finances and military action.
She highlighted the need for Congress to be more proactive against terrorist groups such as the Houthis and to collaborate with Middle Eastern allies to assist Israel in achieving lasting peace.
