3% of Hamilton County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Hamilton County recorded an unemployment rate of 3% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 5,636 people out of the 341,616 living in Hamilton County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Hamilton County has increased compared to the 2.8% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Hamilton County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 4.7%.

Of the 182,027 people who had a job during that time, 683 were employed in the Armed Forces and 181,344 belonged to the civilian labor force.
