Weiss Named NCAC Men’s Golf Athlete Of The Week

Wabash College junior Brayden Weiss received the North Coast Athletic Conference Men’s Golf Athlete of the Week award after winning medalist honors over the weekend.

Weiss claimed the individual title and helped Wabash tie for the team championship at the Music City Shootout in Nashville, Tennessee, over the weekend. Weiss shot an even-par 70 in Sunday’s final round after shooting 73 on Saturday. His two-round total of 143 strokes put him three strokes ahead of a group of golfers tied for second place with scores of 146.

Weiss’ efforts helped Wabash card identical rounds of 296 on both days for a final score of 592. That matched the total turned in by Olivet Nazarene University. Wabash lost the championship trophy to ONU by two strokes in the scorecard playoff. The Little Giants were the only team to shoot two rounds under 300 for the tournament.
