That's why I'm working with @SenatorLankford and @SenatorTimScott to protect religious liberty and ensure students can live out their faith without fear of discrimination." The senator’s collaboration with Senators James Lankford and Tim Scott highlights ongoing legislative attention to campus religious protections.

Later that evening, Young recognized achievements in research and innovation linked to Indiana institutions. He wrote: "Honored to highlight the @NSF Regional Innovation Engines program and celebrate its remarkable finalists, including @MSKimpact led by @IUICMH. This effort combines Indiana’s world-class expertise in research, orthopedics, and manufacturing to drive better health outcomes." The National Science Foundation's Regional Innovation Engines program aims to catalyze regional partnerships between academia, industry, and government in order to advance technological innovation and economic growth.

On September 19, 2025, Young commented on an international case involving press freedom. He stated: "Glad to join this effort to secure the release of journalist Jimmy Lai, who was arrested in Hong Kong five years ago for advocating for democracy." Jimmy Lai is a pro-democracy activist and media owner whose detention has drawn criticism from global human rights organizations.
