Senator Todd Young Reflects on Constitution Day, Addresses Iran Sanctions, and Offers Condolences

Our Constitution will always serve as a compact between Americans, reminding us of our shared freedoms and values."

Later that day, Young commented on international security issues involving Iran. In a post dated September 17, he stated, "Iran is the leading state sponsor of terror, supporting proxy groups like Hamas and threatening global stability with its nuclear ambitions. We welcome the return of sanctions and encourage our EU partners to continue standing with us against Iran." The United States has consistently labeled Iran as a primary state sponsor of terrorism due to its support for groups such as Hamas and its pursuit of nuclear capabilities. American policy has included sanctions targeting Iranian entities to curb these activities and encourage allied cooperation.
