Later that same day, Young offered condolences to Kirk's family and addressed the broader implications of political violence. He wrote, "My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Charlie Kirk.

This is a dark day for America. Political violence is abhorrent and unacceptable. We must come together and ensure such actions have no place in our country." The senator’s comments came amid heightened concerns over political tensions and acts of violence in recent years.

On September 11, 2025, Senator Young turned his attention to the anniversary of the September 11 attacks. He posted: "We will never forget the lives lost on September 11, 2001 and the way all Americans were unified following the attacks.

Thank you to all who heroically responded that day and those who have responded ever since." His remarks highlighted both remembrance for victims and appreciation for first responders.
