On September 8, 2025, Senator Young wrote: "During his confirmation process, @SecDuffy pledged to visit Evansville to learn more about the I-69 Ohio River Crossing project. Grateful to have him in Indiana today."

Later that day, he posted another update regarding the project: "We appreciate @SecDuffy taking the time to join stakeholders from Indiana and Kentucky for a tour of the I-69 Ohio River Crossing project. Once completed, this new corridor will enhance the connection between Indiana and Kentucky and unlock significant economic benefits for"

The following day, September 9, 2025, Young turned his attention to local economic issues: "Thanks to the Madison County Chamber of Commerce for meeting to discuss issues important to the Anderson area and Hoosiers across central Indiana."

The I-69 Ohio River Crossing is a major infrastructure initiative aimed at improving transportation links between Indiana and Kentucky. The project is expected to foster regional economic growth by enhancing connectivity and supporting commerce along this critical corridor.
