Two Little Giants Compete At National Qualifier
Wabash College freshmen Haiden Diemer-McKinney and Quinn Sholar made one more attempt to improve their season-best marks to try and qualify for the 2023 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Diemer-McKinney won the 800-meter run at the Polar Bear Last Qualifier at Ohio Northern University on Saturday. He finished the race in 1:53.48. He currently sits in 21st place on the NCAA Division III men's performance list with a season-best time of 1:51.67.
Sholar competed in the shot put and placed third overall with a top throw of 15.85 meters (52 feet). He ranks 23rd with a season-best distance of 15.97 meters (52 feet, 4.75 inches).
The top 20 results that officially enter to compete at the NCAA Championship meet will be accepted. Those entries will be announced no later than 7 p.m. Sunday at https://www.ncaa.com/live-updates/trackfield-indoor-men/d3/live-updates-2023-ncaa-diii-indoor-track-and-field-championships.
