Special Services’ Multidisciplinary Groups

Carmel Clay Schools embraces a multidisciplinary and collaborative approach to services for our students.

Teachers, instructional assistants, speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, and occupational therapists work together to provide holistic and creative opportunities to best serve the students in our Life Skills and Functional Academic Program.

The Multidisciplinary Groups of 8-10 students meet weekly to focus on various communication and therapeutic goals.

Groups participate in diverse activities, including cooking, crafts, and other physical activities, exposing students to a multi-sensory experience.

Carmel Clay Schools serves more than 250 students in the Life Skills and Functional Academic Program grades K-12.

Eight Functional Academic Program sites and six Life Skills sites are located throughout the district.

Carmel Clay Schools is fortunate to have dedicated and talented educators and staff who support students in innovative and collaborative ways.
