Washington, D.C. – On April 26, 2023, Rep. Victoria Spartz (IN-05) issued the following statement on her reluctant “Yes” vote on Limit, Save, Grow Act of 2023

“Congress has been punting its duty to the American people to oversee spending for decades now, but the time has come. Enormous amounts of politically directed spending is threatening our national security and promised benefits to the people who might really need them,” said Rep. Spartz. “Over 90% of spending is not being authorized by Congress at all. We must have a serious conversation, not political grandstanding, and grow a backbone to challenge large special interest groups. I reluctantly voted ‘yes’ to move this conversation forward but will not support final version without real solutions to move the needle this Congress.”
