Senator Todd Young, a Republican representing Indiana, recently highlighted his legislative efforts and advocacy for American shipbuilding and financial literacy through a series of posts on social media.
On April 11, Young posted, “Building more American ships is good for our national security, and it will provide new opportunities for American workers, including in Indiana.” Two days later, he emphasized bipartisan support for the issue: “Across the political spectrum, there’s strong support for revitalizing American shipbuilding. It’s time for Congress to pass my bill to build ships and make this national security priority a reality.”
In addition to focusing on manufacturing and defense priorities, Young also marked National Financial Literacy Month in an April 13 post: “April is National Financial Literacy Month. Building strong financial habits is critical to planning for the future and achieving the American dream. Find some helpful resources for you and your family here:”
